The food I am giving 4 stars only because our mains were so good - the starters were all over the place. The pork belly and steak mains - fantastic. The escargot - while decent in size, lacked flavor. I am a big escargot fan and order it a LOT. These were not good. The kaarage chicken - had good flavor but instead of being crispy was a bit soggy. The foie gras en croûte itself was just alright but the chutney it came with was pretty tasty. The white asparagus was a bit too mustard-y for me but my husband loved it. I’m giving this restaurant only 3 stars for ambience since we were seated upstairs, which was only a few tables and a bit dull with white walls and no street view or anything. It kind of seemed like “overflow seating”. This restaurant has so many 5 star reviews. Either they are mostly Americans going to the Moulin Rouge who really don't know how good French food can truly be, or my family ordered the wrong dishes. Overall, if you are going to the Moulin Rouge it would make a decent spot for a meal beforehand, but I wouldn’t seek this restaurant out otherwise. ”
